Description
The MB-78EI fire partition system is designed for creating internal or external fire partition walls with single- or double-leaf doors, offering fire resistance classes of EI 15, EI 30, EI 45, or EI 60 according to the PN-EN 13501-2+A1:2016 standard. It is highly compatible with ALUPROF S.A.’s standard window and door systems: MB-45, MB-60, and MB-70, sharing common sections, details, hardware, and treatment processes.
The system’s structure is based on thermally insulated aluminium profiles, with a construction depth of 78 mm. The profiles feature a low heat transfer coefficient (Uf), partly due to special profiled thermal breaks that are 34 mm wide. This system supports the use of all types of fire-resistant glass panels of the appropriate class, with infill thicknesses ranging from 6 to 65 mm. Additionally, smoke-proof structures are available in various production versions. Tests conducted at the Building Technology Institute in Warsaw confirmed that products made with this system also offer excellent acoustic insulation, up to 40 dB.
In 2011, the MB-78EI system was upgraded, introducing new options for allowable structure dimensions and construction solutions. The system is certified by multiple approval bodies for both European and Middle Eastern markets.

The MB-78EI system offers extensive design possibilities, a broad range of hinge products, locks, door closers, and other hardware, along with an optimized manufacturing process. These are just some of the advantages of the system. It also supports the implementation of specific product solutions such as the MB-78EI DPA automatic sliding door, available in EI 15 or EI 30 fire resistance classes, and MB-118EI walls, which offer an EI 120 fire resistance class.
The system accommodates infill thicknesses ranging from 8 to 65 mm, supporting typical fire-resistant glass panes as well as layered opaque elements composed of sheet metal and specialized panels to ensure the required fire resistance.
