Description
The MB-79N US system offers a cost-effective and functional solution while fully meeting modern technical requirements. It is designed to create windows with concealed sashes, making operable units indistinguishable from fixed ones when viewed from the outside. This ensures a uniform and elegant façade, regardless of the window’s function.
The system is available in two frame options:
A-type frame – partially covering the sash
B-type frame – completely covering the sash, providing the perfect visual effect of a fixed window
In both cases, the external glass surfaces of fixed and operable units are aligned on the same plane, ensuring a sleek and consistent appearance. A dedicated adaptation profile also allows the use of frames and crosspieces from the standard MB-79N system.
The MB-79N US makes it possible to manufacture large, heavy windows while maintaining excellent performance. Like the base MB-79N system, it is characterised by high thermal and acoustic insulation, superior water- and air-tightness, and full compliance with energy efficiency and environmental protection requirements.

Profile depth: 70 mm for the frame and 79 mm for the sash
Triple-glazing ready: profiles designed to accommodate triple glazing, with the central section acting as insulation between 33.5 or 36 mm thermal breaks
Reinforced sash design: innovative thermal break section in the sash provides high rigidity and excellent resistance to deflection
Thermal variants: available in three options, matching the standard MB-79N system:
MB-79N US E – economical version with a single-component central gasket
MB-79N US ST – upgraded with a two-component gasket
MB-79N US SI – highest thermal insulation, using inserts in the thermal break zone and a two-component central gasket
Excellent thermal insulation: Uf values place the system among the leading performers in its category
High airtightness and watertightness: achieved through the specially shaped one- or two-component central gasket with insulating section, supported by glazing gaskets and weatherstrips
Secure glazing: Standard and Prestige closed-form glazing beads ensure firm glass retention, making it easier to achieve burglary-resistant designs
Refined interior look: deeply recessed internal glazing gaskets remain discreet and barely visible from the inside
Large format capability: maximum sash height of 2.7 m, width of 1.7 m, and sash weight up to 160 kg
Flexible glazing options: supports glass thicknesses from 1.5 to 44.5 mm in the frame and 12 to 52.5 mm in the sash, allowing the use of virtually all standard single, double, acoustic, and burglary-resistant glass types
Hardware compatibility: equipped with standard Euro-type grooves, making it suitable for most aluminium and PVC fittings, including concealed AluPilot hardware from Winkhaus; handles can be fitted with or without rosettes
System integration: fully compatible with other solutions from the MB-79N family, enabling interchangeable use of glazing beads, gaskets, hardware, and most accessories
